1. Overview
Gebeyalay is a peer-to-peer marketplace connecting buyers and sellers across Ethiopia. By using this platform you agree to these terms.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when registering. Accounts found to be fraudulent will be removed.
3. Listings
You may only list items you own and have the right to sell. Prohibited items include weapons, counterfeit goods, stolen property, and anything illegal under Ethiopian law. Gebeyalay reserves the right to remove any listing at its discretion.
4. Transactions
Gebeyalay does not process payments or hold funds. Payments occur directly between buyers and sellers at meetup. Gebeyalay is not responsible for disputes, non-delivery, or fraud between users. The confirmation code system is provided as a convenience and does not constitute a guarantee of payment or item condition.
5. Privacy
We collect your phone number or email address for authentication, and the information you provide in your profile and listings. We do not sell your personal data. Your Telebirr number is only visible to buyers who initiate a purchase of your item.
6. Limitation of Liability
Gebeyalay is provided "as is". We make no warranties about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gebeyalay is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of Gebeyalay after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
